DOWNTOWN TOLEDO - All streets surrounding the new Lucas County Arena will convert from one-way traffic to two-way traffic starting Tuesday morning.
The streets converting to two-way traffic are Madison Avenue, between St. Clair and Erie; Jefferson Avenue, from Summit to Erie; and Huron Street, from Madison to Washington. The conversion to two-way traffic will also affect a section of Huron which borders Fifth Third Field.
The move is to make the more of the streets safer and more business friendly.
The TARTA bus loop on Jefferson Avenue, from Summit to Erie, will also start back up after a nearly 2.5 year closure while the arena was constructed.
The new downtown arena will open its doors for business on Friday with its first act,
comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham.
