BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Jack Vivian was Bowling Green's first ever varsity hockey coach. Now, he's the first to give to BG's new hockey endowment campaign to the tune of $250,000.

BGSU's goal is to raise $5 million in the campaign for scholarships and to make improvements at the home of BG hockey, the Ice Arena.

To Vivian, $250K is no small chunk of change, but it's worth the sacrifice to help keep what he feels is a strong part of the Bowling Green cultural identity.

A committee led by several prominent BGSU alumni, including Rob Blake, Garry Galley, Mike Pikul, Alissa Czisny and Scott Hamilton are leading the push for Bowling Green to reach their $5 million dollar goal.
