BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Leading up to the season opener, Bowling Green head coach Curt Miller made Chicago State sound like a team to fear. Instead, the Falcons showed everybody that they're the team to be scared of.
Tamika Nurse scored 21 points in her Bowling Green debut to lead the way and the Falcons blew out Chicago State in the first round of the Preseason WNIT 76-41.
The Falcons led 37-16 at the half and never looked back. Three other Falcons (Lauren Prochaska, Jen Uhl and Tracy Pontius) also scored in double digits for BGSU.
They now advance to play on Sunday afternoon in the next round of the tournament against the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus.
