FINDLAY, Ohio - Two local teams gave it their all, but the seasons are over for both Northview and Lake girls soccer.

Northview had a tough test to begin with against heavy favorite Medina. Sure enough, the Bees triumphed 4-0 over the Lady WildKats.

Lake's battle with St. Mary's Memorial was much closer. The two teams couldn't score a goal during regulation and two overtimes. After the first five penalty kicks, the two teams were knotted up at four goals apiece.

It was in the second set of five penalty kicks where both teams started missing. Lake missed on two opportunities to take the lead during the session. And when St. Mary's made it 7-6 heading into the final kick, it was up to Kayla Encalado to tie it. Instead, her shot was stopped, and Lake's run to the regional finals was stopped too.
