Hardcore Football Week 2

FOX TOLEDO HARDCORE SPORTS - Three months after a destructive 175 mph tornado ripped apart Lake Township and Millbury, the community dedicated its renovated high school football field before the Northwood-Lake game Friday evening (MORE: Lake celebrates community at football dedication, Sentinel-Tribune).

The Flyers' first home game of the season was unanimously selected by FOX Toledo viewers as Week 2's Jim White Honda Game of the Week.

This week, workers were finishing up construction at the stadium, a new scoreboard was put up, visiting stands were finished these last few days, as was fencing, and electrical work.

The Lake football team also now have locker rooms, which is better than before when they had to change out of their cars or on the field.

If they beat their Ranger rivals in this first game at their rebuilt stadium, the happiness would go to another level.

In addition to the "Battle of Lemoyne Road," FOX Toledo Hardcore Sports will be covering Whitmer-Fremont Ross, St. Francis-Findlay, Start-Anthony Wayne, Bowsher-Springfield, Perrysburg-Clay, Oak Harbor-Genoa, Rossford-Eastwood, and Buffalo Bishop-Central Catholic games.

FOX Toledo will also show highlights from the University of Toledo's home opener against the University of Arizona at the Glass Bowl.
