TOLEDO, Ohio (WUPW - After about 25 years of coaching wrestling, Central Catholic's Doc Leffler is about to be recognized in the grandest fashion with an induction into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Leffler will be honored as part of the inaugural class representing the Ohio chapter.
Leffler, a DeVilbiss High graduate, was a two-time MAC wrestling champion at the University of Toledo. His list of coaching stops includes Otsego, St. Francis, and currently, Central Catholic. He is the president and founder of the Foxfire Wrestling Club in Toledo.
Leffler is already a member of the Ohio Wrestling Hall of Fame, Class of 1978. The upcoming National Wrestling Hall of Fame induction will be held in Dublin, Ohio on Sunday, September 12th.
