TOLEDO, Ohio (WUPW) - Ohio State verbal commit Pee Wee Gambrell has injured his knee and could have a torn meniscus.

If a soon-to-be-coming MRI shows the meniscus to be torn, Gambrell would be out an estimated 4-6 weeks.

Gambrell hurt his knee during Rogers' game against Southview on Saturday, a game in which the Cougars won 21-0. At the time, Southview was leading 7-0. Gambrell had cut through the opening wave of defenders, ran into his own man, and was taken down by Southview's Allen Gant, himself a recruiting target of the Buckeyes as well as the Michigan Wolverines. Gambrell landed awkwardly and stayed down for a bit before limping off the field. He was removed from the game soon afterward.
