Comeback for the Farr?

TOLEDO, Ohio - Could the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic be surviving into next year? The answer could be forthcoming.
A press release was sent out saying that the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic would be holding a press conference Wednesday at the tournament offices.
The contracts with the title sponsors expired after this past year, when the Farr celebrated its 25th anniversary. Since then, the LPGA hired a new commissioner which then meant the recent re-signing of several tournaments threatened by the economic times.
On another note, FOX Toledo has learned that Kroger has been negotiating with the Farr, that so far, no deal is done with Kroger, and that Kroger representatives did not know of the pending press conference.
