Bowling Green already had enough incentive to beat Toledo, with the I-75 rivalry and all. But it certainly helps things that a victory improved their record and their chances for postseason play.

The Falcons were already bowl eligible before the Toledo game, but instead of finishing at 6-6, the win over the Rockets put their record at 7-5. After the 38-24 win over UT, senior quarterback Tyler Sheehan brought up a good point that no 7-5 team in 2008 had gotten snubbed.

In analyzing the MAC in its current state now, Central Michigan, Ohio and Temple have all put forth portfolios that'll probably put each team in a bowl game. BGSU would, most likely, be the fourth MAC team to get a bowl bid if they do get a bowl.

BGSU head coach Dave Clawson said after the Toledo game that the chances for the Falcons getting a bowl are now "very likely."
