MAUMEE, Ohio (WUPW) - It's billed as a way to meet people, make business contacts, and have a little fun as well.
The Toledo Sport and Social Club is a group that organizes sporting events for individuals and plans after hours activities.
Kickball, soccer, and flag football are just some of the activities the Toledo Sport and Social Club organizes.
The group was formed eight months ago, but already the numbers and interest from those wanting to get involved have far exceeded expectations said Jesse Spier, club founder.
The group gets together a couple of times a week and plays games, including kickball, at the Lucas County Recreation Center. Teams have 10 players per side and they play seven innings.
The Toledo Sport and Social Club is a pay-to play-format, so if you can't make all the events, it's not a big deal.
