OTTAWA LAKE, MI - The power of prayer has changed lives at one local synagogue.

People at Adat Adonai Messianic Jewish Synagogue in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, have created a prayer chain. They do it so members can reflect, and have peace in their daily lives.

People have been praying behind the prayer room doors for the past two years, non-stop.

It's a miracle, because according to the synagogue's Rabbi, the activity has made them closer to God. The reason for the prayer chain is so they can be ready when Jesus returns.

"Prayer is simply when someone turns their heart to the Lord and is thinking about him, that's what God desires, he desires to be connected to his people," said Rabbi Kirt Schneider.

In the prayer room, at least one member of the congregation is listening to music, and reflecting. There is always someone present in the prayer room.

The Rabbi does not plan to stop the prayer chain anytime soon.
