Mayor spokesperson's blog leaked

TOLEDO - What was meant only for his friends to see, can now be viewed by everyone in Toledo including, Mayor Carty Finkbeiner.

And Mayor Finkbeiner is Jason Webber's boss. He's been the Mayor's spokesperson for less then a year and blogged about his time working for Mr. Finkbeiner last year.  Now that blog that was posted on his private Myspace page has been leaked. 

The Blog Web site Swamp Bubbles, dedicated to breaking news and political discussion in Toledo, was given Webber's blog entries by an unknown source. After reading the blog, Swampbubbles' creator Chris Myers decided the public needed to read it for themselves.

"A person that is in the public eye is talking about someone in a public office," Myers said.  "So it's in the public's interest to see. I can assure you, there was no hacking involved in getting this information." 

Webber told FOX Toledo News he believes his private blog was accessed illegally.

"I'm happy and honored to be in the mayor's public information office," he added. "These statements were taken completely out of context.  I could have been screwed by a friend, but I believe my page was hacked into."

Webber also explains the statements were taken out of context.  They were just a small portions of a longer blog.
