TOLEDO, Ohio - You might call them reformed rockers but the members of Keys 2 Eden are a little bit more tame than they were in the past.

The group, though, doesn't hold back on the sound.

Music has always been a strong focus for Keys 2 Eden but now it's the message of their sound that is taking over.

Keys 2 Eden is hoping that their positive lyrics will inspire young listeners. They play a variety of venues, including area churches. Their goal is to spread good advice and entertain at the same time.

"I know that for most of us we come from, you know, the sins of life, we want to spread a better message than when we were brought up," said Johnny Cappelletty. "Hopefully we're writing some music that will be a postivie message and we want to have the world hear our music."

They also want people in the Northwest Ohio community to listen as well.

The band plays at different venues, including Cedar Creek Church in Perrysburg.

After years of practice, these guys have a lot of material.

"We all throw in our ten cents and contribute to the song writing process," said Todd Cotten.

Presently, Keys 2 Eden is focusing on an event that is close to their hearts. They are rehearing for Stand Against Child Abuse on June 7.

"We all have kids, and just the thought of something like that hapening to your child was cause enough to get out there and do what we can," Cappelletty said.

They hope using their gift of music will help others.

"For God to give the gift to share, it's amazing seeing people's lives change from music, and that's what it's all about," Cappelletty said.
