STRYKER - One person was pulled into the Tiffin River in Stryker Thursday evening, prompting a water rescue.
The Williams County Sheriff's Office said two people were riding a four-wheeler ATV near edge of the Tiffin River near County Road C about one mile west of State Rt. 191 when one person "got sucked in."
Archbold Fire Department's water rescue and dive team were called in to provide mutual assistance, the village fire department confirmed.
Archbold was called at around 8:15 p.m. to provide mutual aid with their boat, rescue crew and dive team.
An air ambulance was also called out to the scene.
At around 6 p.m. Thursday, the Tiffin River was near record flood stage at 17.7-feet, according to the latest estimates from the National Weather Service. Flood stage for the Tiffin in Stryker is at 11.0-feet.
Mid-Thursday morning the Tiffin was measured at 17.96-feet, or about .44-feet below record flood stage.
