SANDUSKY - Unrelenting rain showers Saturday evening remained steady through Sunday evening, causing many area roads, yards and fields to be partially, if not completely, submerged.

Early Sunday the National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Huron River in Milan -- near Franklin Flats where many residents live in low-lying areas -- and flood advisories and watches for other communities in the area.
