TOLEDO, Ohio - Contract negotiations have once again broken down between the Toledo Police Patrolman's Association and the Finkbeiner administration.
According to TPPA President Dan Wagner both sides had finally come to an agreement and attorneys for both sides were finalizing it Friday afternoon.
However, Wagner said at the last minute Mayor Carty Finkbeiner was insistent on some changes.
The union had no choice but to walk away from the changes the mayor wanted, Wagner told FOX Toledo News.
It looks like any further move may have to wait on a fact finder decision, which is expected in August.
Megan Robson, Mayor Finkbeiner's spokesperson, said the administration does not make any comments regarding ongoing contract negotiations.
The TPPA is currently working under a contract expired Dec. 31, 2008.
