Stormtracker Weather Tour

WUPW - FOX Toledo's Stormtracker Weather Tour is a program that brings weather education to local elementary schools.

The tour is an hour-long program that allows the FOX Toledo Stormtracker Weather Team to interact with students and teachers in a variety of weather-related experiments and competitions.

There are two weather tour programs. One is tailored to winter weather education and the other to spring and summer weather. The Stormtracker Weather team will promote the winter program during the fall and winter months and spring/summer program during the other half of the year.

The Stormtracker Weather Tour is designed to reach a larger number of students at one time. A typical weather tour will be given to a group of 75 to 100 students.

Weather tours must be scheduled in advance and will take place throughout the school year. FOX Toledo News crews will accompany Chief Meteorologist Doug Moats to your school to film the program with the students.

The segments will then air on FOX Toledo News @630 and @10, and online right here at FOXToledo.com.

Experiments will not exceed basic weather principles and all materials for the program will be provided by FOX Toledo studios. The best news - there is no charge for the program. All you need to do is sign-up.
