TOLEDO, Ohio - Polling centers throughout Ohio opened at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, in Michigan 7 a.m., and residents made their voices heard regarding statewide issues and candidates running for office.
At around 1 p.m. Linda Howe, Lucas County Board of Elections executive director said turnout throughout the county somewhat light, but expected. Turnout throughout Toledo was at around 12.5% and 16.3% throughout the county.
FOX Toledo News cameras caught Toledo mayoral candidates Mike Bell and Keith Wilkowski casting their ballots Tuesday morning.
Ohio polls close at 7:30 p.m., while polls close at 8 p.m. in Michigan. FOX Toledo News will have realtime election results posted on FOXToledo.com throughout the evening as the ballots are counted.
FOX Toledo News will have updated voting information during First at Ten, including insight from a four-member panel. The panel will include Toledo City Councilmen D. Michael Collins and Tom Waniewski, Toledo Free Press Editor-in-Chief Michael Miller, and Glass City Jungle blog site moderator Lisa Renee Ward.
