Glass City's top 5 candidates duke it out

    DOWNTOWN TOLEDO - FOX Toledo News, the Toledo Free Press, and the GlassCityJungle.com hosted a 90-minute commercial-free debate Tuesday afternoon, sponsored by Columbia Gas of Ohio, featuring Toledo's top five mayoral candidates.

    The top five candidates for Glass City's next mayor was determined by polling. The debate took place in the McMaster Center at the Toledo-Lucas County main branch library downtown.

    Questions for the Republican Jim Moody, Democrats Keith Wilkowski and Ben Konop, and Independents Mike Bell and D. Michael Collins were submitted to FOX Toledo News, the Free Press and GlassCityJungle.com in advance of the debate, which was aired live on FOX Toledo, streamed on FOXToledo.com and blogged on GlassCityJungle.com.

    The Sept. 8 mayoral debate, moderated by FOX Toledo's Laura Emerson and Shaun Hegarty, Michael Miller, Free Press Editor In Chief, and Lisa Renee Ward, moderator of blog site GlassCityJungle.com, was held one week before Toledo's mayoral Sept. 15 primary.
