SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Several Sylvania Township trustee candidates are upset over fellow resident and trustee candidate Royal Barber's political statement with a Halloween twist.

Barber, who lives on Mockingbird Lane, has erected wooden tombstones in a mock graveyard. A candidate's name is on each one of the tombstones. They are all located inside what Royal calls "Trustee Hill Cemetery."

"We're all just trying to do something good for our community, and whether you agree with us or disagree with us, you know we can have a civil discourse here," said trustee candidate Kevin Eff, who is upset over the tombstones. "It doesn't need to amount to these types of threats."

Eff calls the display a juvenile prank and said the display isn't a good representation of a trustee candidate.
