PERRYSBURG - Corey Partridge was known as a go-to wide receiver while at BGSU. Now, he's trying his hand at a different sport - baseball.

Scouts from the Detroit Tigers held a tryout camp at Owens Community College on Monday.

The camp was open to anybody over the age of 16, attracting some guys who just want to be on the scouts' radar, and some guys who are playing for their dreams.

One of those individuals would be Partridge, an athlete who hasn't played competitive baseball since his high school days, when he was a two-time All-League performer at Loveland High.

Partridge told FOX Toledo Sports that he tried to attend a similar camp in Cincinnati earlier in the summer, but that tryout was rained out.

Partridge finished his BGSU football career 4th on the Falcon career list in catches with 182. He also had 1,990 yards and 13 touchdown receptions.
