HANCOCK CO. - Potential job creation in Hancock County could put more dollars and cents in people's wallets. Nearly 400 jobs could be coming to that area over the next year.

County officials tell FOX Toledo more than likely, The Home Depot and another company called TH Plastics will be moving into the area, hopefully sooner than later.

Hancock County Commissioner, Phillip Riegle says the fact that Governor Strickland helped approve some job creation tax credits on the projects, gives him hope that negotiations will move quickly.

"Anytime you can say here's a credit for some of the taxes you would normally have to pay, that effects the bottom line," said Riegle.

If these projects turn out to be done deals, The Home Depot Distribution center would break ground in Allen Township

TH Plastics would have a presence on Bently Court in Findlay.

Meanwhile, on a state level, Governor Ted Strickland helped approve job creation tax credits for 16 businesses in the state. He hopes that move will help create about a couple thousand jobs for Ohioans.
