GULF COAST (WALA) - A man offered thousands to "sell" his ex-wife because he doesn't want to pay alimony anymore.

"Nice well taken care of ex-wife. Mid 40's. Pretty and loyal. Never smoked and very little drinking. Will make someone a good companion (I know). For this to work, it will be an "interview" type process. I will need to see your personal resume to start the process. This not as scam, if I can match her up with a good person it's a win-win-win situation. Also, Don't worry I am not jealous."

Out of respect for the ex, we're not going to identify the woman or where they live on the Gulf Coast, but that doesn't keep this story from catching your eye.  So why post this on Craigslist?  To get out of alimony of course!

"Will Pay 10K to the man or woman who marries her in a way that stops me from having to pay her alimony. She has enough money to live and support herself and a soulmate - So the loss of alimony would not affect her lifestyle."

And guess what?  Potential buyers must meet a few criteria:

"Terms and conditions:

  • This transaction offer only valid if she is not aware of it.
  • Must treat her good, no abuse tolerated by me.
  • This offer is null and void if it is determined to be illegal in any way - I am not a lawyer.
  • The end result must be that I am no longer liable to her for alimony and you make your best effort to be good to her.
  • This add is not in any way intended to demean my ex-wife. She is a nice person and is a fine catch for anyone.

If you are interested in my ex-wife you should email me so I can weed out the flakes. If you pass my inspection I will, in-turn, provide contact details. She is a good person although a little confused at this point in her life."

So if you're interested, you'll have to find her yourself.
