GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina sheriff says deputies are searching to find the man they believe has killed five people in a week.
Cherokee County Sheriff Bill Blanton told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Monday that the three separate shootings are linked through evidence.
A peach farmer was killed June 27. An elderly woman and her daughter were shot dead last Wednesday. Then a father and his 15-year-old daughter died after being shot Thursday.
Blanton says deputies are searching for a man about 6 feet 2 inches tall with salt-and-pepper hair.
Hundreds of people thronged funeral services Sunday for the mother and daughter. The crime spree terrorizing Cherokee County forced many people to curtail Fourth of July festivities.
