Possible July 4 Blue Flu sick out

TOELDO, Ohio - There are concerns of rumors circulating around Toledo of a possible Blue Flu sick out Saturday for the July 4 holiday.
The reason for the possible sick out is because those on the force are upset over the 46 laid off officers who were not brought back July 1 through state and federal grant monies.
Dan Wagner, Toledo Police Patrolman's Association president, advised his fellow union members to not partake in Saturday's Blue Flu protest. Wagner said the citizens need and expect police protection and a police presence this weekend, including the July 4 fireworks at Promenade Park.
