Imagination Station needs volunteers

DOWNTOWN TOLEDO - The Imagination Station, slated to open in the fall, is looking for volunteers.

The Downtown Toledo science center on Summit Street next to Three SeaGate and Promenade Park, is in need of an unlimited number of adult and youth volunteers. The volunteers needed will fill a number of areas inside the center, including programs, visitor services, special events, and retail.

In order to volunteer, adult applicants must be willing to serve at least 16 hours a month.

Youth volunteers must be at least 14 or have completed the eighth grade.

Imagination Station has immediate openings for an estimated 65 full time and part time positions. There are 27 full time positions and between 30 and 40 part time positions available at the new downtown science center.

Volunteer positions are also available.

The new science center's staff will be conducting interviews and will be hiring new employees over the next 90 days.
