DOWNTOWN TOLEDO - Students at the Toledo School for the Arts received a visit from some well know actors Thursday morning.

Jackée Harry, Telma Hopkins and Christopher Williams, who starred in Thursday's production of The Clean Up Woman at the Stranahan Theatre, talked to the students about staying in school and being the best they can be.

Jackée, who is known for her performance of Sandra Clark on the 1980s sitcom 227, said she hopes to inspire students.

"To show them how to star at this young age, to begin to learn this craft, if you want to be really good at it," she said. "A lot of kids have American Idolitis, I call it. They just want to be famous. They don't know you really have to work to get there."

Hopkins is best known for being a back-up singer in the 1970s group Tony Orlando and Dawn and for the TV sitcoms Bosom Buddies, which starred Tom Hanks, and Gimme a Break!, which starred the late Nell Carter.

Williams, an R&B singer, scored the 1991 No. 1 hit "I'm Dreamin'," which appeared on the New Jack City soundtrack.
