DOWNTOWN TOLEDO - Toledo police officer James Breier, accused of drunk driving while on the job, entered not guilty pleas Tuesday morning in Toledo Municipal Court.

Officer Breier, who was arrested in October while driving a city police cruiser during a shift, is facing charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of the accident on Aug. 5, 2008.

A city municipal judge gave him driving privileges to and from the police department for shift work in the records room. He was moved to the records room while the police department conducts an internal investigation.

Officer Breier is also in a rehab program.

A pre-trail sentencing date has not been set.
