Central Toledo teen shot, killed

CENTRAL TOLEDO - A family is in mourning while a gunman is on the loose after Antonyo Phillips, a 15-year-old high school athlete, was fatally shot in Central Toledo over the holiday weekend.

Antonyo, who had aspirations of playing football for Michigan State and possibly the NFL, was shot in the back at around 2 a.m. on Cottage Avenue in North Toledo. The teenager later died after being transferred to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
