TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden is expected to give an update on efforts to strengthen the U.S. auto industry during a visit to Ohio.
The vice president is scheduled to appear Monday afternoon in Toledo, at a Chrysler LLC plant that makes the Jeep Wrangler.
Biden's office says he'll talk about the Obama administration's work to rescue Chrysler, General Motors and suppliers during the recent auto industry crisis.
While in Ohio, Biden also is expected to help raise campaign cash for Gov. Ted Strickland.
Earlier in the day, the vice president speaks to a Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Indianapolis. His office says he'll talk about the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraq.
