STONY RIDGE, Ohio - The quiet of dawn was jarred by battering rams breaking glass and slamming into homemade barricades. After five days of waiting out the owner of a foreclosed home in Stony Ridge the Wood County Sheriff’s Office waited no more.
"Get your hands up. Get your hands up right now. It’s the sheriff’s office," a deputy shouted this morning as 24 officers swarmed onto the lot at 5947 Fremont Pike.
The protesters camping out in the home’s yard left peaceably, packing up their sleeping bags and tents.
