PERRYSBURG, Ohio - More than 50 employees of the school district may lose their jobs as the district makes $3.1 million in cuts to address a looming budget deficit.
Superintendent Tom Hosler said he has talked with staff members, including teachers, administrative and support staff, who may receive notices after the April 12 Board of Education meeting.
The personnel cuts represent about 60 percent of the reductions that will be made to the district's $23.4 million general fund budget.
Hosler described the cuts as "the worst case scenario," without any changes in the district's financial situation "that's about what we're projecting."
