COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio's unemployment numbers have been released for July by the Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services and it's more of the same: double digit unemployment for most counties and less than 25% of Ohio counties falling below the U.S. average.
Clinton county in Southwestern Ohio had the highest number of unemployed at 16.7%, with 6 other counties also reporting unemployment at 14% or greater. These other couties are Adams, Highland, Meigs, Monroe, Noble and Pike.
Holmes county in central Ohio had the least amount of unemployment at 7.5%. There were 19 other counties that came in under the U.S. national average of 9.7%, inlcuding Hancock and Putnam counties in NW Ohio.
