TOLEDO, Ohio (WUPW) - Table Forty-4, located at the corner of Monroe and Huron in the entertainment district, opened its doors Tuesday morning.
The restaurant is located across the street from Fifth Third Field and block south of the Huntington Center.
Table Forty-4 is a full service bar and restaurant with an American bistro-style menu.
Jim Mettler, owner, is excited to be a part of Toledo's downtown entertainment district.
"Anybody who thinks that there isn't anything to do in Downtown Toledo unless the Mud Hens or the Walleye are playing, has not been downtown on nights that they're not playing," Mettler said. "Because I happen to be a downtown resident, and come down on any Friday or Saturday night, you will see a lot of people. Table Forty-4 hopes to add to the mix by giving those folks a list of venues that they want to go to."
Preparing for its grand opening, Table Forty-4 hired 30 employees.
The bistro, which scrambled to open in time for the April 8 Mud Hens season opener, is open daily at 11 a.m.
Table Forty-4 is owned by those who run the Maumee Chop House.
