STONY RIDGE, Ohio - Four people were injured, including two young children, in a serious mid-morning accident between two vehicles near Lake Township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol Bowling Green Post said.
The children's ages are 6 and 10, the state patrol said.
The crash happened at around 9 a.m. on U.S. 20 in the area of Ohio 163 in Stony Ridge.
Two air ambulances and at least one ground ambulance took two of the four injured from the scene.
According to a state patrol release, a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 53-year-old Nora Logan of Moastville, WVa., was traveling westbound on US 20, and went left of center and struck head-on an eastbound 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Melvin Kromenacker, 75, of Toledo.
The two children - Terrance Salvador, 10, and Alayna Salvavor, 6 - were passengers inside Logan's Malibu.
Terrance Salvador and Logan were transported via helicopter to Toledo Hospital. Alayna Salvador and Kromenacker were transported by ground ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
The victim's conditions are unknown.
The crash remains under investigation.
