MAUMEE, Ohio (WUPW) - Sarge's transfer to an animal rehabilitation center in Utah has been delayed after the German Shepherd bit another person at the Toledo Area Humane Society.
Sarge survived after being shot six times in July by its owner, will be quarantined for 10 days to see if the staff member shows signs of rabies.
The humane society said a volunteer needed a dozen stitches after Sarge bit her on the hand over the weekend when she was walking the canine.
Sarge was to have left Maumee on Tuesday for the Best Friends Animal Society in Utah.
The dog also bit two other people earlier in August.
