TARTA testing new notification system for riders

TOLEDO, Ohio (WUPW) - TARTA is currently testing a program which riders can receive estimated TARTA bus stop times sent directly to their mobile device.

TARTA Tracker users can 'tarta' followed by a designated bus stop code, found here , to 41411. The service will then notify the user of the current estimated times.

For example, to find out what TARTA routes are scheduled to depart from Westfield Franklin Park, text 'tarta 11' to 41411.

TARTA Tracker works on any mobile phone with SMS texting. There is no subscription or additional fee for the service but your phone service's standard texting fees will still apply.
