Pedestrian struck, killed by 2 cars

CENTRAL TOLEDO - Toledo police detectives are searching for a silver colored 4-door car that they believe was involved in a fatal hit-skip accident involving a pedestrian early Thursday evening in the central city.

Detectives said the victim, 70 year-old Jose Rodriquez walked into a moving car on Cherry Street near Hilllwood Drive at around 6 p.m. He was knocked to the ground.

Moments later he was hit by a second car. The silver second car sped off.

The unidentified victim was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Detectives said there were about three or four people in the silver car. The driver of the silver car was a black female.  They also believe the car was either a Kia or Hyundai.
