ADRIAN, Mich. (AP) - It could be called a miracle.

Heidi Aldridge of Adrian, Mich., gave birth recently after suffering from H1N1 and nearly dying from the disease.

She was so sick she spent three weeks in a coma.

At one point in time doctors gave Aldridge and her baby a zero percent chance of survival. But she was able to pull through, and so far she and baby boy have a clean bill of health.

Aldridge and her mom Patricia Vallejo feared this day would never come, the day they would hold Grady Oliver Aldridge.

Back in November Aldridige contracted the Swine flu virus. She was so sick, she went in to a coma. After three weeks of large doses of experimental medicine, she came out of the coma, but knew her battle wasn't over.

"Once I woke up and realized what happened and what was going to happen," she said. "I had to fight and tell myself everyday I have something to look forward to and I have to do this."

Four days shy of his due date, Grady was born Thursday at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian, Mich. Grady is 8 pounds and 13 ounces and a relief to a family who feared the worst.

How is he going to look?," Aldridge questioned. "Is he going to be able to see? Is he going to be able to hear? Are there any side effects from the medicine? And there's not."

"There was a chance we were going to lose her, the baby, or both," Vallejo said. "He's just a true miracle."

Baby Grady and his mom are doing so well, they are expected to head home to his dad and big sister in just a couple days.
