In 2010 FOX Toledo News launched a brand new newscast FOX Toledo News @ 6:30, Northwest Ohio’s only local 6:30 p.m. newscast.
This new newscast is being designed with the busy lifestyle of the viewer in mind. Viewers can catch up on the day’s local and national news and weather at a time that is convenient.
“Continuing our tradition of innovative programming, FOX Toledo is excited to roll out NW Ohio’s first local evening newscast @ 6:30. Viewers have repeatedly told us that they want the top local and national stories, combined with accurate weather at time that is convenient for them. Our fast paced 6:30 news program is designed to deliver this exact format” says Gary Yoder, President and General Manager of FOX Toledo.
“With today’s hectic, dual income family lifestyle, we feel that the 6:30 slot is perfectly suited for a 30 minute news product that brings local news and weather together with the national stories that have an impact on NW Ohio.”
“We are excited to have the opportunity to offer our news product at a family friendly hour. This won’t be your traditional 6pm news” adds FOX Toledo News Director Steve France. “We hope people will take the time to check us out and see what they’ve been missing.”
