TOLEDO, Ohio (WUPW) - Kathy Gilly is celebrating her 5th anniversary of being in remission after having been diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer back in Feb. 2005. This year she's holding a one mile fundraising walk Saturday March 20 to raise money for pancreatic research to try to help others beat the illness.
"First of all, my doctors call me a miracle and I believe in miracles, second of all I just would not accept the fact that I was going to die." Kathy says.
Registration is $15.00 for the walk at the recreation center on the University of Toledo campus. The walk begins at 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
