Area pilot given state award
Poll honored by Angel Flight

MILLBURY, Ohio - Charlie Poll, an area pilot, has been named "Ohio Pilot of the Year" by Angel Flight.
Poll is a Perrysburg native.
He volunteers his time and services to fly patients to hospitals for medical treatment.
Poll's flights include transporting children and adults who are terminally ill. He uses his own aircraft and pays for fuel, maintenance and repairs out of pocket.
"It's the meaning of life for me," he said. "I mean how many guys find the meaning of life then get to enjoy it?"
Poll's has been flying since 1970. He will be honored in April in Virginia Beach, Va.
