OLD SOUTH END - Gang activity in the Old South End is reaching dangerous levels, sources inside the Toledo police department told FOX Toledo News. Some officers said they haven't seen this much activity since the mid-80's.
All this at a time when the city's looking at cutting the department's gang task force, as well as other specialty units and up to 75 officers.
At the corner of Western and Boody, the Choloz and the Loked Out Crips have tagged what they consider their territory. The two are rival gangs, and the most serious threat to the neighborhood, the source said.
