SWANTON, Ohio - Over the past weekend the Ohio Air National Guard's 180th Fighter Wing conducted an operational readiness exercise at their Toledo Express Airport base in Swanton.
Residents who live on Eber Road might have seen or heard additional F-16 takeoffs and landings in the evening hours, in addition to smoke, explosions, sirens, and airmen wearing chemical warfare suits and masks.
It was all part of real-world, wartime operations the guardsmen
train for.
