TOLEDO - Noisy Neighbors of Toledo have said they really like all different types of music and that's why they say it's great that they can sample music from their favorite artists.
Some members of Noisy Neighbors have tried their hand at writing songs, but it's safe to say that covering different artists work is just more fun.
"We really try hard to keep up with current stuff, but also pull back stuff from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s as well," said Craig Sims, who plays bass and sings back-up vocals. "I'll go through my little phases where I will have a country phase or an oldies phase or a hip-hop phase, I've gone through all of them."
But that's the nice thing about being a cover band - you can cover just about anything.
"We do a huge amount of songs, but then Craig will say, what about this song, and I'll say nah, that's not going to work, but then we'll do it anyways, and I end up loving it," said Gina Granados, Noisy Neighbors' lead singer.
The band has been together with this line up for the past year. Craig joined up in March of 2008.
"I'm actualy the old guy in the band. I've been doing this for a long time."
Gina was raised on music, and she's happy to showcase her sound right here in the Glass City.
"I think that Toledo has a great night life," she said. "Sure it's great in Chicago and other places, but I'm happy with how it is here. I enjoy playing in the bars here."
Gina, has traveled around to make her American Idol dreams come true. A couple of years back, Gina auditioned for the show in Cleveland. She even slept inside of Cleveland Browns Stadium, just to get the attention of an executive producer.
"He said, there's a fine line between screaming and singing, and you're right on it. So he told me no," Gina recalls.
Still, Gina said it was a great experience and she knows music and this band can always be her outlet.
"We don't have to be best friends, but we have to be able to get along, understand what everybody is going for, and everyone's goals," Gina said.
