TOLEDO - Embracing Elegance, working their way into the Toledo music scene after a year of practice, is a trio of guitar players with an acoustic rock vibe.
Carl Markowski (lead vocals and guitar), Tyler Moates (bass guitar), and Josh Kuester (guitar and vocals) have always had a passion for music. That's why they say they are thankful that they found each other.
In the past year the acoustic rock trio have played around the Glass City, and were recently featured in Toledo City Paper.
The acoustic trio said they like connecting with their audiences.
"If we can bring a little love to the life and show them that they aren't the only ones feeling that way, that's a good thing," Kuester said.
Despite its acoustic feel, Embracing Elegance said they can't really describe their music. The hope is that their sound is something new and original.
"We feel that we have a different sound that you haven't heard yet," Markowski said. "If we're going through something in our lives, we take it to guitar, go by ourselves and just play it out."
Coming up with the tunes and finding the words can be tough, but when all else fails, this acoustic trio talk about life lessons of love or relationships.
"If we can bring a little love to the life and show them that they aren't the only ones feeling that way, that's a good thing," Markowski said. "Everything that we have come up with so far, they have liked. It's a good mix."
So far, Embracing Elegance hasn't been together for a long time, but they hope that they have some longevity in the Glass City, so eventually they can move on to bigger and better things.
"It's awesome, everything has really been taking off," Markowski said. "Trying to play as many shows as we can, we're recording. Everything has really been falling into place, and happening really quick so I hope that we can keep up with it."
