TOLEDO, Ohio - A Columbus Day debate among the candidates running for the 9th Congressional District seat will take place Oct. 11.
Democrat Incumbent Rep. Marcy Kaptur and challenger, Republican Rich Iott, will attend a debate sponsored by the Toledo Free Press and broadcast live on FOX Toledo. The debate will start during FOX Toledo News @ 6:30 and will be live on foxtoledo.com.
Libertarian candidate Joseph Jaffe pulled out of the race Sept. 10.
A limited number of tickets for the debate are available by contacting the candidates. Contact: Marcy Kaptur at (419) 259-7500 and Rich Iott (419) 324-0224. Only ticketed guests will be allowed in the debate venue.
No signs will be allowed in the venue during the debate.
The moderator panel will consist of Laura Emerson, FOX Toledo News and Brandi Barhite, the Toledo Free Press. FOX Toledo News' Shaun Hegarty will emcee the event and ask community submitted questions.
