I am currently employed at Cooper Standard Automotive as a Dual Line Incentive since October of 1996. Cooper Standard Automotive manufactures rubber body sealing / vibration control devices for the Automotive Industry, a major supplier for Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler. I have over 19 years experience as a laborer in the manufacturing environment. I am currently on lay off status as of 12-13-08 due to the curtailment of production from General Motors and Cooper Standard Automotive. My present duties are as a Plastics Extrusion Operator, where colored plastics are applied to the show surface of the automotive seals which is done inline. Other duties included operation of other manufacturing equipment such as Paint Booths, drill machines, inline saws (where automotive body seals are cut to length) and final trimming and visual inspection of body seals for packaging and shipment. I also assisted Dual Line Operators in job setups, tooling setups and teardowns. I have experience as Tow Motor Driver/ Forklift operator. I have experience as a trainer of new employees guiding them in proper procedure and specifications of the jobs being performed.
