TOLEDO, Ohio - You should be getting a yearly financial check-up, or even a quarterly check-up if you have a lot invested or if you have riskier investments.
Brian from Waterville wants to know what he should ask when getting his holdings reviewed?
Well, it's a great start that you know you have every right ask about your investments.
Generally, you should know your what, why and how long. Make sure your advisor can explain to you what you have have, why you have it, and how long the money should or needs to be invested.
"Are these the best funds to be in?," asks David Elrod of Generations Financial Group. "What are the Morningstar ratings on these funds? What is the performance? Are there better funds we can be in? What are the fees that we're paying? How much risk am I taking? All those are important questions when evaluating your portfolio."
No one cares more about your financial security than you do, so
if you don't know where your money is going or where you want it to
go, then how do you expect it to get there?
