FOX Toledo weathercaster Larry Whatley

WUPW - In early February 2009, weathercaster Larry Whatley rejoined the FOX Toledo News family and the Stormtracker Weather Forecast team.
Larry was FOX Toledo's primary weathercaster when the station started broadcasting local news content in 1996 with a partnership with WTOL. In 2000 Larry was replaced by former meteorologist Jeff George after FOX Toledo ended its relationship with WTOL.
Up until late 2008, Larry was with WTOL contributing weather forecasts and traffic reports during their early morning show program.
Larry will be filling in for Chief Meteorologist Doug Moats and weekend weathercaster Bruce Slusher from time to time on FOX Toledo News First at Four and First at Ten.
Larry has more than 25 years of experience as a news reporter and anchor as well as weather forecaster. He has received a number of prestigious awards including the National Black Media Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.
He is also the co-founder of Northwest Ohio's only Christian Television station, WLMB.
Born and raised in Fremont, Ohio, Larry is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. His work in the religious community brought him back to Bowling Green several years when he became the Pastor of Turning Point Church, located in Downtown Bowling Green.
Larry and his wife Doris have two children, Wade and Larisha.
